I got a 30gal tank for $20! Its used I got it at the LFS when I got my new guy. I was wondering now. If it would be ok to use with my goldies because when the LFS lady got it she got it with two Piranahs in it. IF I cleaned it well with vinegar and stuff would it be ok? Or would it be ok since it had fish in it before?? Or will I have to make it a salt water tank? Piranahs are slat water right? Or will it be ok once I get it all clean and the filter cleaned real real well??

Not an expert at this (never got a salt water tank and converted it to freshwater before), but if you clean it well, and soak it a bit, I don't see why not. Unless for some reason the salt takes a long time to leech out of the glass?

Pirhanas are freshwater fish, not saltwater.

Just clean it out with some vinegar and water, and rinse it good, it should be fine!

OH YEAH!! THAT MAKE ME SO HAPPY! I wasnt sure about what kind of water type Piranahs were thats why I asked...YES!
