Hi guys;
I was wondering how many of you here use a UV sterilizer and what brand, have any of you used a Jebo, or heard of it, i will be getting a 9W one from my LFS. I just want to make sure i am providing the best possible care to my goldies.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks;

I use a Coralife 3X 9 watt UV sterilizer on my 29ga and and an Aqua 25 watt UV sterilizer with a wiper on my 90ga. I would recommend either of these units. I can also say... I my personal opinion... I wouldn't have an aquarium without a UV sterilizer.

I have a pond rather than a tank, and have been using a UV clarifyer/sterlizer for the past 4-5 weeks and can't believe I existed without one for so many years! WEater went from sludge to crystal clear in weeks (we're talking several thousand litres here and 6 years of neglect; cleanup wasn't going to happen overnight). I'd tell you what brand etc but it isn't going to do your tank a whole heap of good.

rav, Foster&smith has the 3x Coralife sterilizer for $79 US. I just bought one last week.

Hey Rav,
Just a quick point, The UV units need some sort of method for water flow. I have mine hook up to my outline pump from my canister filter. You want to make sure that the flow rate should match up. If the current is too strong, the UV won't work as efficiently.

ThomE is right. I have a 29L tank with a Jebo 828 canister filter (300gph flow rate). I didn't want to add another water pump since I also have a Emperor 280 on it. So I just got the larger 18w Coralife 3X sterilizer to connect to the output of the Jebo canister. The large unit allows enough time for water to be exposed to the UV.
I pay a little bit more in terms of electricity cost to keep the 18w UV light on all the time though.

Thanks a lot for all the replies guys, i purchased the jebo one from ebay, i hope it does a good job as your coralife one. I am sure my goldies will appreciate the water quality.
here is the one i bought, it comes with the powerhead so i dont need to buy anything else apart from the hoses.
