I can't find any reviews on this product. It sounds really good for the price. $50 for a 4 stage canister filter 300gph.
300gph.
Multi-stage filtration.
Fully adjustable rotating inlet and outlet flow valves
Valves can be shut-off and de-attached from canister while tubing remains intact.
Independent media baskets for easy cleaning or replacement.
Hardware such as tubing, return elbow & intake strainer included.
Efficient, quiet, reliable operation.
Easy to setup with pump starter technology.

I have one. I initially bought it because I thought it would be a cheap alternative to the expensive Eheim Profession II 2028 filter. The Jebo 838 looks almost the same as the Eheim. It pretty much it works works the same also, except for one important difference: The Eheim 2028 has the water flow going throug the filter material in an upward direction. This Jebo has water going through the filter material in a downward direction (towards the ground). The upward direction of water flow through the filter material is more desireable since gravity helps to keep waste from getting into the final layers of filter material.

Despite that one difference, I would recommend the Jebo since it was so cheap. It comes with filter media already as well as transparent green tubing.

Can u comment on the fit and finish, and the noise level? Also the effectiveness of the shut off valve in avoiding a mess during cleanings? Thanks.

The product seems to be we made, I don't have any problems with the the quality of the parts. There was more than enough tubing, I had to cut some of it off. It also comes with a spray bar. The Jebo is the only canister filter I have ever owned, so I can not comment on the fit and finish compared to other filters.

It's very quite, I don't hear it at all. My air pump is the only thing I can hear when I listen carefully.

As for the shutoff valves, they work perfectly as designed. I was able to disconnect the cannister without losing a drop of water biggrin.gif

I have not seen this filter for sale at the normal online stores.

There is a guy on eBay that sells'em. He runs his auction business out of his warehouse here in Austin. I just drove up to his warehouse and purchased it direct from him.
