
OK, guys, help me out here, please. I went to nnnnnn today to get tires for my car. Naturally while I waited I had to cruise the fish aisle. I got captured by what I think is a yellow and black crowntail female betta. She is the cutest thing I've ever seen! She was in one of those bubblegum machine looking aquariums along with a male betta and another female betta. Now, I only hope the one I brought home is a betta

She doesn't have those long, skinny fins like the males have

Do females have those? She is freaking out and swimming circles around the bowl real fast, so a pic is out of the question right now. The thing that concerns me is that I have yet to see her surface for air. Now I'm afraid I've brought home a tropical fish (not a betta) who needs a filter and none of my tanks have one.
