I have no idea where you can find it in "real life." There are a lot of websites that sell chemicals, they'll usually have it. I actually bought a pound of it from ebay!

I got the powder kind, because it makes more solution and will last longer. But I've also seen concentrated solutions of it for sale, those are probably less messy.

As long as you rinse your plants in clear water for a few seconds, you'll be fine. The PP at a low concentration doesn't hurt your fish, so it's ok if the plants might have a little bit on them still.

The powder stuff is good, but if you think its waaay too much for you, DrsFostersmith.com or Petsolutions.com, as well as ThatFishPlace.com sell little 4 oz bottles with PP, that should do it perfectly for sterilizing plants.....Just have them sit overnight in a bucket with the PP in it, and that should do! smile.gif

Yeah - you really do not need a lot of it. I have an old brown bottle of the crystals from 1955, still with plenty in it to do years of disinfecting. A little will do you - you do not need to spend tons.
