Hi, I got this plant in my tank (cold and tropical) the fish love it, but.... I don't know what it's called!!

it's small about 10 cm high, small broad-ish leaves green and off white, any ideas??

I have searched loads of sites and can't find it anywhere!!! (Iknow i should have asked when i got it, but it was spur of the moment thing!!)

Could you possibly get a photo?

i do have an okay picture but i can't add images yet, i could mail it if someone were willing to post for me??

it looks a bit like dracaena sanderiana, but they dont fall into the true aquatic plant range i'm sorry to say.

p.s is sandy in the hos tank because she is ill or because shes agressive ?

I had 5 tiger barbs in a tank on there own ( they were picking on my tetras) and last sunday morning when i got you withinh 4 hours 4 had died!!! All my other fish are fine.

sandy was the only one who made it, she now has white spot/ich, it came up on wednesday.

i have no idea why the others died, no signs of illness, i checked the water, put more air in the tank, vacuumed the gravel & did water change.

So thats why she is in the hospital tank, i hate it i know she's lonley, but what can i do!!

it wont harm my fish will it??? the catfish loves it!! she's stripped half the leaves. The were selling it in an aquatics center, the guy didn't say anything when i said:

"i need a new one cause they (fish) ruined the one i have"

what i mean is its not a totally aquatic plant, as in it wont survive long under water. a lot of our friendly fish shop minions will happyly sell you a plant that will never be happy in a fish tank . if you type that name i gave you and sherch you should be able to see the plant and tell if its the same good luck

well the little catfish as really stripped the plant!! if it was a bit delicate in water all the time, i wont matter now! when they move tank at the weekend she will have a brand new one to destroy!
