Hi:

I have just begun to feed my goldfish cucumber. I only used a small portion of the cucumber and chopped it up in pieces. They seem to enjoy them. I don't know if the pieces are too big or not. Do you think they will continue throughout the week to nibble on them little by little? I don't think they will cloud the watter. Considering I have chopped of a portion of the cucumber, it will be a good while before I feed them. do you think they'll be o.k.?

I would watch them and see if they are struggling to "chew", if they are then maybe cut them smaller.
With any food, I wouldn't just leave it in there. Let them nibble on them and then remove the left overs. Cuccumbers can decay and turn into ammonia just as flakes or pellets.
For instance when I feed oranges I chunk them put them in there and let them nibble for an hour or so then I remove the rest.

Good luck, I'm glad to hear your gf like cukes, mine do not.

Hi:

How am I supposed to prepare lettuce prior to placing it in the aquarium. My reading various topics on the forum, I have learned what a veggie clip is. I didn't have any idea I would enjoy feeding the fish vegetables. I would like to know what to do so the water won't get and remain cloudy. The water is already cloudy. I plan on doing a partial water change. It's time to do a water change anyway.
