what is the difference in marine and backrish ? is a backrish tank harder to care for than a goldfish tank?

You know, I have no idea! But there's a lot of freshwater/brackish discussion over on Aquarium Advice--if you don't get much response here, you might want to check it out.

hi iamruss7, marine tanks have a specific gravity of around 1.025 and brackish water is around 1.004 to 1.015 you can test this with a hydrometer, i keep a brackish tank with a spotted puffer in it, i wouldent say its hard to keep at all and you get some interesting fish in brackish water, hope this helps smile.gif

Thanks for the replies. The reason i was wondering about backrish was because i could have more interesting fish . I would really love to have a lion fish but i was told it was really hard to keep up a marine fish tank . I just didn't know if it was as hard to take care of a backrish as a marine tank would be .
