Try a simple and cheap piece of plastic aida from the craft store. Its only a few cents, you can cut it to the size you want, and it has holes, so both parts of the tank enjoy the filtration/airstone. Glue it inside the tank with some aquarium sealant, or you can hold it in place with some suction cups, thats it!!...

Not sure. I like to use the hot glue gun for crafts and stuff, but I would be careful when it comes to fish. Just haven't had any experience with it in the tanks...

Get the silicone that they use in fish tanks, that should hold it?

I use report cover binders and silicone them on the sides of the tank then put the plastic adia in. This way they are easy to remove and clean.

HEY BLACK ORANDA, did you ever get a chance to try that project? it sounds like a great idea. I would like to try to do it with my 10 gal. Did you put two male bettas on either side? or did you put one male and one female on opposite sides?

Why don't you just buy one of those suction cup thingies over at your LFS. Don't you have that? This way you don't have to glue anything.
It's supposed to hold glass and has 2 suction cups at the back.

I did try the suction cup idea, Mailbox, although my smart bettas pretty soon figured out that there is a tiny slit betwen the glass and the divider where they could squeeze themselves through. It worked fine for a day though...

I used plastic canvas from the craft store to make dividers for my 10's and 20. cheap and easy....I just wedged it in with ornaments and a suction cup at the top...
I ahve used hot glue to repair ornaments and have had no ill effects to the fish. keep in mind, this was a small quantity, not like re-sealing the tank
