Our ammonia level is 0.0, our PH level is 8.2. Tank is 10 gallon w/ Aqua Clear mini. We have three "VERY" tiny fantail goldfish. Is this PH level sufficient to have "Nipper" (the smallest of the three) lethargic and hovering on the bottom of the tank? What happens when PH is to Alkaline? How do we fix this? unsure.gif

Whats the Ph out of your tap?

Ph is something that you really dont want to bother with unless its causing a problem.

My other question for you is how long has this tank been up?

Goldfish don't mind high pH. They'd usually prefer your 8.2 over a very low pH. If your pH is stable, I'd guess that the problem is in other water conditions... do you test your nitrites?
