what should i feed my clam and can get rocks as the bottom and could i put in a fish bowl and if is ok to put a leaf in there and let decopose and do it clean in his own little area and what kind of water should i put in i really need ur help me with this

freshwater clams feed on little mircosopic floating algea in the waterand clams should only be added to very asstablish ponds. i have never heard of any one keeping them in tanks or bowls and they don't eat decomposed leafs and it wuldn't be wise to but a leaf in there snice when it decomposes it lets nasty stuff in the water. i have never had one but my pond store has then and they have a little bit about them in my pond book so i am no expert so you might want to wait for someone else to respond
