Hello everybody smile.gif Currently I have a 2 fantails, 1 moor, and 1 lionhead in a 55 gallon tank.

My problem is everytime I feed my fish, only the fantails really get to eat.

My moor and lionhead have a hard time eating because there either to slow or have poor eyesight. They go crazy looking for food, even though its just right next to them. While my fantails dash from one end to the other eating everything in sight...

My only real way is to handfeed them from the surface, but im worried this could cause swim bladder problems from sucking in too much air. Anybody got any ideas?? biggrin.gif

I used to have this problem but seperated the slow feeders and fast feeders.

If your fantail eats from the top then continue to feed her there but use sinking food for your lionhead and moor. It's a lot easier for them to find on the bottom.

Cheers! Annette

What I do is feed in two batches. I put the first batch in the tank and let all the fast feeders get their mouths full, then I put in the second batch giving the slower fish a chance to eat.

I do the 2 batches of food also, my little ones would never get any food if I tried to feed all at once. It is good because all of the 'pigs' have thier attention on the first batch. and the smaller fish , I usually drop the food directly in front of them while my big 'piggies ' are busy.
