ah, i'm having so many problems w/ my goldies:-(

i have two other fantails that are not in a hospital tank right now. i've got them for 4 weeks now. one of them, timmy, recently just floats aroudn the top, not really doing anything. usually, he LOVEs to eat and woulc constantly look for food. but these past 2 days, he's been just wiggling his tail once a while. when he sees food, he'd take one bite, then stops eating. i thought he had constipation, so i fed him some mushed snowpeas (the inside), but he deson't eat it.

he's realyl hard to feed cuz my other fantail, danny, always scoops it up b4 timmy. poor timmy's a lil slow liek that. i try to dangle food soaked in melafix from my fingers for timmy, but he'd just bump it w/ his mouth and wiggles slowly away. he's not as energetic anymore unsure.gif

another thing is, his lil fins on the bottom of his belly towards the tail is clamped. since this morning, his dorsal fin is clamped too. i've started noticing yesterday that his skin's a lil bumpy. (b ut im not sure if he's liek that generally). there's these 2 lines on both sides of his belly that is really visible. sorta liek two rows of rasied scales.

is he comign down w/ something? i don't know hwat. i don't see any ick or fin rot or mouthfungus. his tails are not slip and his fins are in tact.
i try to lower the temp of the tank once a while w/ a bottle of ice and i have an intank filter that creates large bubbles. i also have a small stream of small bubbles going.

i've been adding melafix for both danny and timmy for two days now and salt.

if anyone knows anything, please please respond!
thanks!

well, before i (or anybody else for that matter) can help you decide what is wrong and what to do about it, youll need to post more information.

how long has the tank been running?

how big is the tank?

whats the name and make/model of the filter/s?

how many fish are usually in the tank?

and most importantly:

what are the water params (ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte and ph)?

what are the params out of the tap (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph)?

if you could indulge us on these questions, wed be much better able to help you figure this out.

post back soon! unsure.gif
