I just put Bo in a 1 gallon container with just over 1/8 tsp of epsom salt disolved. My question now is how long do leave him in there?
He's pine coning. I don't know how I missed it earlier when I changed his water but I did. I have some Jungle Fungus Clear, it says it treats for dropsy, I think I'll add that to his water in his tank. Any other suggestions? I'm getting pretty hopeless here. cry3.gif

Thank you! He's in the epsom bath still. Been ther for about 20 min give or take. All I had in the house was Melafix and that Jungle fungus clear. I've added the fungus clear to his tank water while he's been in his bath. So, he's got 4 days in this treated water, in the mean time I'll try to pick up that Maricyn(sp?). So, if he makes it that long, that's my next course of action. He wouldn't eat the daphnia today, so it's not looking good for him. I don't know what else to offer him to eat that won't make it worse. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Thanks again

Well, he ate some more daphnia today. Gave me more hope, yesterday he wouldn't touch it. The nut is building the biggest bubble nest I've seen! But I've learned that could mean he's feeling good or that he's on his way out. unsure.gif But he actually seemed to enjoy his salt bath last night. Didn't look at all stressed, just swimming around more than he has. I read in Nykole's thread that she added the epsom right to her girls' tank, I think I might do that with Bo. It might help along with the Jungle fungus clear. We'll see.

Thanks guys. He's been one tough little guy, when he just kept getting bigger and bigger I thought he was done for. And then the pinconing... I'm regaining my hope for him now. He's not having any trouble swimming to the surface, he still flares at Bruiser, he even flared at me today! I just hope he keeps eating. Should I feed him something else besides the daphnia? That's all I've been offering him, in hopes they work their magic and he poops.

Oh and I added some epsom salts right to his water today(dissolved them first). In hopes to help even more. No noticeable results yet though.
