Just take the background and tape it to the out side of the tank one end at a time biggrin.gif

well, normally you cut the background so that it fits on the glass only, this will make it appear nice from the front. I just use scotch tape, I tape one side, making sure everything is lined up properly, then tape the other side. Thats it.

Some people use a water based spray on adhesive, which makes it REALLY stand out, but I don't know the details. Maybe someone else can help?

Cheers!

well... i asked my dad for some help and he trimmed it all wrong sp now it's all screwed up.i don't like how it looks taped but it won't
stay on with water and some film type stuff. now i'm probably gonna endup getting a new one.

excuse my typing, i'm holding a puppy while typing.. it's very difficult.

When we still had our 10 gallon tank running we used corn starch to keep the background on. It worked pretty good and it stayed on for awhile. The only problem with this is air bubbles can form, and are noticeable from the sides of the tank. Basically, it requires a lot of smoothing out and accuracy to get it right. smile.gif

Try the orange sticky tack(strong stuff) I put it in all four corners of the black trim and in the middle of the trim at the bottom and the top. Put the background on pull it tight and push it on to the sticky tack. Best of all when you want to take it off it doesn't leave a sticky mess like tape does wink.gif
