Hi Phoenix, well,so far it sounds pretty good.

Betta's seem to enjoy temps between 76-78 degrees. As with any fish, you need to use some sort of water conditioner to get rid of chlorine/chlorimines etc. A weekly water change is good also. One difference between goldies and bettas though is their feeding habits.Bettas tummies are about the size of their eye,so you really have to be careful not to overfeed them.Alot of people use some type of betta bites-different brands-different names. They're a pellet type food for bettas. The amount to feed is always in discussion here-Some people believe no more than 2 or three per feeding-some people feed more. I myself usually feed 3-4 pellets. Some people only feed frozen blood worms.I myself use them a couple times a week. That is something you may want to delve further into so you can decide for yourself. Bettas like to have hidey holes,or resting places. Anice soft silk like plant is much appreciated by them. You may want to use some plants along the dividers between the bettas so they aren't constantly seeing each other quite so easy or often. You want to also make sure that those dividers are snugly fit so a betta can't sneak under or around it.Also watch the top part of tank. You'd be surprised how determined bettas can be when it comes to wanting to hurt other bettas. When it comes to purchasing the little guys, you want to look for clear water-nothing floating around. When you hold your betta up,look at the fins and make sure they are not raggedy.Hold the container up to another betta-look for them to swim,to flare, etc. Well,I'm sure that I'm forgetting something here, but this is a start. One word of caution, bettas can be rather addicting!! I think I have 16?-------Blame it on early time -not much sleep . You will have to watch the water params very carefully while that tank goes through the cycling period. Good luck---hope I helped!!!
