Hi guys,

We have 4 goldies in 2 tanks. (3ft/ 2ft 6")

What is the least traumatic way to move house.

We are only moving 5 minutes away but I want this transision to be as comfortable as possible for the wee fellas.

Should I maybe move them to a smaller tank with their own water a day or two before the move & then will that give enough time for setting up their proper homes again??

Many thanks

If its only 5 minutes away.. what I recommend is once everything is ready, place the goldfish in a big bucket, then as fast as possible, save as much water as possible (in big buckets, I would say aim for like 25%.. even 10% is okay I think). Then move everything over, then fill up the rest of the water, plug in all the filters (add water conditioner and everything, like a big water change). Then throw in the goldfish, shouldn't be so bad, just like a big water change smile.gif

Burnsie make sure you keep gravel/ornaments/filters/ in original tank water as to not kill off your bio bugs-5 minutes away? I think that I would try to take as much of the original tank water as I could so it wouldnt be a 100% water change-As long as you keep the filters etc. in tank water, you shouldn't hurt your cycle!!! Good luck!
