Hello everyone,

I just bought a Visitherm Deluxe 100 and I had a few questions.

Where is the ideal placement for the heater? Its the submersible type so I could really place it anywhere. The filter's stream of water shoots towards the left side of the tank, coming from the right side. Should I place it behind the stream? In the stream's path? Top of tank? Bottom of tank?

I also read in Koko's word document article that I should use a heater guard? Can someone take a look at the link for my heater above and tell me if its got one built in? And if not, how essential is it that I get one?

Your heater does not have a guard... Regarding the location, if your tank has good water movement, it does not really matter where you place it.

I can't seem to find a heater guard anywhere .. online or at the store. Maybe I'm searching wrong .. but can someone point me to where I can get one?
