Okay so heres the deal, I fed my little guy 3 pellets lastnight, around 10:30 EST and he ate all of them... today when i fed him 4 pellets just about 12:00pm.. he only ate 2 outta 4.. is that normal for them to eat more days then others? or is this something i should be worried about?

I mean hes acting normal... and swiming and having fun, and he is alert... and he does it, but just that he slowed down a little more then usual... I mean like someone told me he cant be sick if hes eat/swimming right? his color looks good, and all.. no problem with fin rot or anything.. I am just concerned about what he eats..

he seems very healthy and happy here with me, it will be 5 weeks that i have him tonight happydance.gif I like i said am just worried about his eating intake.. somedays its more then others, is that normal?

Also I wanted to ask a question, my sister has the "freeze dried bloodworms" that she sometimes feeds her betta.. I was wondering if i can try giving him some of those tonight as a treat or something??? Also would that (the bloodworms) help him from getting bloated? That is my biggest concern as of right now.

Any input on this matter would help me out alot... Thanks wav.gif

my bettas might be strange, but none of them (5) will eat those freeze dried bloodworms, at least not the brand I bought (Topfin).. my goldfish eat them but they eat anything lol...

Quite a few of mine were like that in the beginning Six,but over time, they have learned fast-especially with the frozen bloodworms!! I feed with a little eyedropper, and as soon as they see it coming their way they turn into sharks now! lol.GIF They hit that dropper before I even squeeze the blood worms out! It's so funny to watch!

Hi there,

Thank you for the info.. that helped alot, I however; have one more question.. in hopes that maybe you can help me with some answers.

1. This morning, when i fed my betta, he ate 3 pellets... BUT was laying around most of the day.. Tonight I fed him again and he didnt eat, my question is.. is it sometimes normal for them to eat only once? and should i be worried about anything as of yet?
