Today while at the beach i picked up a handfull of small pebbles, no bigger then pennies, in the thoughts of putting them in with my betta, and maybe a few to my goldie tank. Since they came from the sea i wondered, so (bum bum bum bum!) i did some research on koko's about it. All i found was a topic on sea SHELLS, but none about Ocean (Sea) pebbles.

My question, is it safe to put them in after boiling/disinfecting them? huh.gif

I've been collecting river rocks from a nearby river, scrubbing them and then boiling them and putting them in with my goldies and they do fine. I think as long as you do all these steps it should be OK. I assume the same would apply to the ocean pebbles.

I washed them off with hot water and let them sit. I'll boil them now too, thanks JinLamb.

soak in bleach for a couple of days.. then boil them in heavily salted water to be more effective in cleaning them up..
