Just bought a 30 gallon for my 3 goldfish yesterday, they are very happy in their new home. I did alot of changes, i bought 4 plants and put them in terra cotta planters in the back of tank. Had some big river rock and now added some smaller ones. The filter is great, it is a power filter that i got with the tank kit. I bought bubble wall, looks really cool. My otto, Mr. Clean loves to play in the bubbles alot, . This is the best looking fish tank for my goldfish yet. I LOVE IT AND MY FISH LOVE IT TOO!!!

Congrats! It is always fun to set up a new tank! (My husband and I have 430 gallons worth of tanks in the house.) Just a note....I am dealing with an oranda that swallowed one of my ottos, so my suggestion would be to keep an eye on your ottos and if they become ill, remove them from the tank so that you don't end up like I did.

Sounds like a nice tank for your goldies. I just set up a tank using river rocks. I have to say I enjoy the look immensely. Hope it continues to work out well for you!

thank you for the replies. The otto is fine, i am keeping an eye on him, the petstore employee said that the goldfish might start nipping at him, but so far so good. He loves all the room in the tank. Some people would think that going from 20 gallon to 29 gallon(people who do not have any fish) is not much of a difference but it is a HUGE difference in size. I just bought my 4 black phantom tetras for my community tank, now i have to wait a month to add any more fish since it is cycling, using old goldfish filter so that should speed it up and real plants. Can't wait to put a few more colorful fish in there

Forgive my ignorance but what's a bubble wall?

a bubble wall is a long piece of tubing that goes in the back of your tank on the bottom, on top of gravel that you hook up your air too and it makes a wall of bubbles in the background. It is really cool for goldfish, not good in community tank, too much turbulence for them.
