My mom doesn't want me to have a fish that requires a big tank. Infact, right now all I have is a betta fish in a spongebob tank.

My question is this:
Besides bettas, what other fish can just live in a tank without an air pump?

I would get a fish that requires "more work," but my mom doesn't want me to do that.

So...she just wants me to have a small tank...any suggestions on what is out there and what kind of fish go in the small tanks (something besides a betta)?

(sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put it)

Sorry I didn't mean without an air pump...but just a small one. Ya know...like those small tanks.

small tropical fish can live in relatively small tanks without too much trouble. Something like tetras or guppies should be okay in a small tank with a filter. Guppies would probably be more interesting than tetras.. tetras are pretty boring fish smile.gif. No other small tropicals come to mind right now, but I'm sure there are more.
