Well as you know im leaving from June 29th - September 2.... well my 10 gallon has a comet and two ping pong sized snails...
my snails make the real mess in the tank (tho they clean everything, they poo it all out... don't mind cleaning it but for my friend too do it...it may be too much for him)
I was thinking if i could transfer both snails to a rectangular glass aquarium that 2.5 gallons... for the duration im gone... water changes done 100% a week and water replaced with aged water.... do u think this would be ok for my snails??

its just i want to make it easy for my friend...cuz it summer, he wants to have fun and i dont want to deprive him of anything:P

i don't see a problem with that really.....maybe someone else will...just make sure you have a tight lid on that 2.5!! those snails are STRONG!!

in your opinion do you think it would be easier for my friend to clean out the 2.5gallon...and weekly or every other week changes for the 10 gallon (my fish used to be dirty but he has been making a habit of sitting under the filter and when he poos it goes straight to the filter... i never see poo in the tank..only the odd one here and there:P

I am making a screen lid as we speak:P... lol.. will they stop growing or shrink in size (the snails)?

Would 2.5 gallons adjust to room temperature rather quickly or at all?

Hey ,I think for a month,your snails would be okay too If your doing 100% water changes on 2.5 gal.get three 1 gal empty/clean milk containers -explain to your friend that when he uses this jugs of room temp.water because they sat 24hrs. just tell him to make sure that he fills them for the next water change!! Don't forget algae wafers,etc. for snails-maybe splurge and get them a nice bunch of anacharis to munch on while your'e gone. The snails will keep growing,-heck it's a 2.5 gal.for two snails,take a chill pill-everythings gonna be okay! We will miss you Hamsta!

haha i will miss u guys too... so everything's set then... i will still go on this board when im there... (7 hrs difference from where i live (london, ontario)

ok im having trouble...my room is 23 degrees celcius and the tank water in the 2.5 gallon is 15... why isnt it adjusting??? will it take more then a day:(
