Well i have around a 11 gallon tank and i havent added any fish, still researching(So much to know). I have a filter and i was wondering if i need a bubble wall for oxygen. I can position the filter abobe the surface of the water to allow it to splsh down, but is this ok, or do i really need a bubble wall? wink.gif

goldfish do need oxygen. ihave bubble wall and my fish play in it. its cute to watch. let someone correct me if im wrong, but i dont think you can have too much oxygen in a tank, unles its whipping the fish around.
kudos
even if you don't need one, bubble walls are lovely to watch and if you have got stupid fish like i have they will love it, think of it as a another toy for your fish rolleyes.gif

very easy to do, small pump, some airline with non return valve and a long air stone, thats it, really creates some movement in your tank tongue.gif

good luck with your new tank, remember "fishless cycling = happy healthy fish"

I have a bubble wall and I was wondering is you stick it to the side of the tank or do you place it below the gravel.

Also do you want the bubbles to be small or big, Cause there small if I dont put any rocks on them.

You want small, relatively slow moving bubbles. The more like this they are, the more likely the water is to absorb the oxygen, which is why they're there. They go on to of the gravel, unless they're part of youg UG Filter, in which case they go into the uplift tubes.

When I have mine going. I normally place it on the back of the tank. This way its out of the fishes way and will cause more distubance in the water surface smile.gif

Bubble walls look great & help get oxygen into the water, all good really!

My GF love swiming in the bubbles & letting them take them to the top of the tank from the bottom.

my fish rilly like the bubbles, but some of the smaller ones get lifted up by the bubbles tongue.gif
