I want to know if the snail in my fish tank can bite me? I mean I put my hand where the snail was and she/he put his mouth on my finger and I felt the rubing of it's mouth. I want to know if I let it on my hand will that hurt me? I mean when I move him one tank to the next I make sure I don't scare the snails. I know I should not be putting my hands in a fish tank but I only do it when Im cleaning it.... AS in takeing the water out.

its almost as though they are monkey grabbing everything..

You can hold ur snails everyonce in a while but dont do it for too long...they really dont like the open air

Well I did not hold him out of the tank to make him stay on my hand. I had a little water left in the tank and I put my hand in there to get him/her and she started getting on my fingers. I felt the his/her little mouth on me... It felt strange.

My snail seems to prefer crawling in my hand. Both he and the fish in my tank are used to my arm being in the tank cleaning, replanting (since they love to uproot the plants often), or cleaning the alage on the front glass.

It does feel wierd and I have never had a cut/problem from the snail.
