My black mystery snail has been in his shell floating aroudn teh top of the tank... i know its cuz he filled himself with air but its been a day and he hasnt let the air out in order to sinnk!!! He's not dead he will come out of his shell and reacts when things touch him... but he just keep floating and i dunno what to do???!

have you smelled him yet? try taking him out and giving him a whiff. if he doesn't smell like anything bad then you're ok. if you smell a foul nasty as all $%^ smell, then unfortunately you're little guy is passing away. Have you checked your water params? Is there a reason that he would be dead or dying? Do you feed him foods or just let him eat the algae on the tank?

haha... i forgot too say he does this alot and ive had him for a while... he eats all kinds of veggies and algae and the params are fine..... he just does it... its as though its fun.. he fills himself with air floats... then lets the air ou and sinks... haha... maybe i just own weird snails?!

as long as he doesn't stink and he's moving tell him surf's up! lolol
