Buck made a rare appearance in my tank today (hes usually hiding under all the plants and driftwood) so I decided to get a quick pic. I got this cute little guy when he was about 2 inches. Hes now about 8 or 9 inches and lives in my 30 gallon. Hes survived a lot, including a winter without a heater or food (not by my choice), and spending a winter night on the floor of my living room. He squeezed out of a tiny hole in the back of the tank and crawled across the floor. I found him completely dried up in the morning and thought for sure he was dead. I put him back in the water where all his skin and fins fell off and he developed a terrible body fungus. Anyway hes made it through all that and is a pretty special fish. He was a birthday present to me in 1998.

That is one Big and special Pleco.........

Yeah Im actually not that happy with him at the moment… I spent hours last night cleaning up and rearranging and redecorating my plant tank and hes now torn it all up… I added a new substrate which hes decided is better than gravel because now he can dig, so he went around and dug big caves all around the driftwood and now my tank is all murky from the substrate being stirred. Big fish in planted tanks… sigh!

I know that when I had Churn in the tank he distroyed the tanks substrate, Its just starting to get better

hehe.. well he is pretty, messy little fish! well maybe not so little..

i got mad after a while of findign them names so i just started with
that.

I got that name from that movie umm"I know what you did last summer"
Well the murderer in the movie killes people with a fish hook
and all so i called him Mr.Hookenfish

I am just impressed that jsrtist managed to get a picture of a plec. Mine never comes out unless it's really dark. But at least when gorgeous Brucilla makes an appearance I am spell bound (he's an L134, so pretty)!
