i was wondering if anyone has any info about the neccesities of keeping these fish.

I never had them personally, but a friend of mine kept them for a long time, before he moved and had to give them up. All I remember was that they were (I don't know how many) in a 75 gl tank, and all the guests were always standing around it watching him feed the little vampires.... Maybe a google search is in order, or try Aquarank.com, I see a piranha website there every now and then....

again, it depends on the species of the pirahna, you have things like the pacu and black pirahna which grow much much bigger but you got the red bellies which dont grow so big....

because of territorial issues, you need a v large tank for this
