Yeah i think that sounds good too but sometimes really big molly can't pick on little guppys and neon tetras but i think you would be okay if you didn't get like really huge balloon mollys

Hey Blinky,I've had guppies and neons together and they have done fine. The thing about neons,is that they are schooling fish and prefer to be in groups. One other tip I'd like to pass along-Alot of people when they start out with tropicals want live-bearing fish, which is great if you know what you're getting into. I started that way myself-bought a couple pairs of guppies and within a couple of months had a gazillion or so! That brings up overstocking, where to put them all,and worse,-the beginning of all kinds of problems if your not careful. The only time I ever had problems with any of my tropical fish tanks, was when I had pairs of live breeders. As long as you think of these issues first off, then you know what your'e in for. It's so easy to go from great to your tank crashing with problems. Good luck with the tropicals! They can be very beautiful tanks! I love mine! biggrin.gif

P.S. I'd read up about the mollies...If I recall, they are considered a brackish type fish, and may have special needs. I know they need some salt in their water, and alot of tropicals can't do salt.I'ts been a long time since I've had mollies,so don't quote me on this, cause my memory does fade once in a while! Thud.gif Just check into that to make sure.

all of the fish listed will be ok in slightly salted water for the mollies, the guppies will like it a little too, higher sucess rate for fry, however the mollies can be very nippy, i would recon those, maybe get some platies instead, or even swordtails ! that way uyou dont have to worry about the salt !
