This isn't a very clear picture, but here is my new betta Flame....

Hi Lachfa--Flame is really beautiful!!!!!! Up intil yesterday,I had two red bettas. The closest one to look like yours,"Flare,-died. I think he was an older betta when I got him .He loved the new tank and heater I gave him. I am so glad that he passed,knowing he was much loved. Flare was pure crimson ,no other colors in him,and from the pic,your Flame looks alot like him! Love him "lots"! You just never know when things will change! Good Luck!

I'm sorry Devs I lost a few bettas before getting up the courage to try again. It is hard to lose them, but at least we gave them a better life than the one they had in the pet stores. Flame really had a personality, he just loves when we come to the tank, he swims right up to "talk".

You're absolutely right! I have one betta Monet,that comes to top of water and literally sticks head out of water to wait for you to drop food! lol--I really love those guys-have 14.

Hi Lachfa..Handsome boy for sure. Perfect name. Dev's Flare was the very first all red betta I had ever seen. His striking beauty has made me want one ever since..(will I ever get that Sammy Hagar song out of my head..Red...)

Oh thanks everyone,I need some hugs cause right after I posted,went to work -came home in the morning,found Monet dead on coffee table! He had jumped out of his aquarium. The thing is that it was my own fault too. I just got done saying that Monet jumped up out of water for food when he saw my fingers...I should have been forewarned-Afterall,bettas are known for that.Thing is that he's the only one that's ever acted like that-And right before I left for work,I decided to clean his tank-Didn't want him to wait til morning for me to do it.As I was on my way to work,I remember thinking to myself,I should have taken a little water out of his tank cause I may have filled it to high....Apparently,I did and now I'm paying for it. I was so depressed about things lately that today when I was out at two different lfs's-they got betta shipments in,and I couldn't make up my mind so I bought all 5 of them!!! They're all beauties,all different,but It won't make up for Flare and Monet....Please watch that "jumping" stuff okay?

I am so sorry - my very first betta jumped. I had it 12 years ago and in was in a little hexagon shaped container with a lid. I kept the lid on sideways because I thought he needed air - anyway I had him for a long time and one day he jumped. I am sure I never did much to care for the water or anything.....

Anyway, you need to check yourself in to bettas anonymous - you bought 5! When I bought Flame I went in looked really quick for one that caught my eye, moved him to another location in the store, looked him over to make sure he was healthy and went to the counter never looking back at the other bettas. Two feeders went home with me, but we won't go there.....

Yep!!!!!!! The thing is they are all so different! I also was having a not so nice day,and was feeling really bad inside.My fish are just about the only thing I can count on- no matter what,they love me for what and who I am.I spend time with each one of those bettas every single day,and I can tell that they love me for it! I don't mind being a betta freak obsessed, at all!
