i am really cheesed off now. when i got hades he had some ich, not too much, but some. so i treated that and it went away. there was like one spot left when i went away for the week so i re-treated before i left and came back to see the ich was worse than when i first got him! is there any more i can do? ive head from some that salt is harmful to bettas and others say it isnt. is it or isnt it? thanks

I have read that salt in the quantity to kill ich is detrimental to bettas. I have never used salt with them because of that, so I don't have personal experience.

With ich, if there is any left in the tank, it will reinfect the betta. I would clean the bottom of the tank well after any treatment, either by a thorough gravel vac or a siphon if the tank is bare bottom.
