Pxies eggs finally hatched today. But there is only about 5-7 fry. Maris fry have hatched too, she has 3-5. So this is a tiny spawn. I hope they all make it. Wish me luck!

what size tank/container do you breed your bettas?

Everyone is doing great. No deaths over night. There is 11 or 12 fry, its so hard to count them because they are so tiny. They are almost free swimming.

Right after spawning you remove the female. Then the male cares for the eggs and fry until they are free swimming. Then you must remove him too.

I dont know if its harder to breed bettas because Ive never bred GF. Breeding bettas wasnt the hard part, they did that on their own , raising them might be tough thought because they are so tiny.

Are any of your little males "albino blue" still? Im really hoping to get a few out of this spawn.

nykole, their pelvic fins are almost totally red now.-They still have that iridescent blue in their fins, but now they all are getting red streaks through those fins too. One of them have more blue than red. Oh, if they would have only stayed the way they originally looked!!!! Don't get me wrong,they're still rather special looking,but when I got them,they had that beautiful white body and those iridescent blues in their tails,and they just reminded me of sparkly/magical stuff!lol
