Anyone used these? What are your thoughts?

I was considering getting an Ecco a long while ago and I seem to remember people here saying that they weren't very good. Yes, they're Eheim which is a great brand, but they're very much on the cheap side and not very efficient or quiet. I could be wrong though so don't just take my word for it.
