I have a large fish tank with my goldies and was wondering what type of lights everyone uses. Right now I have two flourescent fixtures that house triple bulbs. I have a Colormax, a zoomed flora sun, and just a the regular cool white light that can they came with in each filter. Anyone have any other recommendations to bring out the colors of the fish?

Thanks,

I'm running Hagen brand bulbs called Aqua-Glo.
Whites, oranges, reds, and blues really show
up well. I do like the way all my tanks look. smile.gif

I have not tried auga glo. I tried the powerglo bulbs awhile ago but have not been able to find them at my local pet store. I might have to look online and check out the aqua glo's.

Thanks,

I have a power-glo and an aqua-glo on my 30g tank... my anacharis and java ferns seem to like it and the reds and oranges of the fish look fantastic!

I have a 55 gallon with a 48" strip that holds two daylight bulbs
I can really describe it in my own words so i'll give a link.
it focuses on the green its very nice great for freshwater fish and plants.
and for some reason the 48" strip cost the same as the 24" strip(19.99us d).
where i got it from: http://www.bghydro.com/page/BHOS/PROD/IF/HLIFFIX
the bulbs:

the 24" fixture on my old twenty gallon:

also a timer is pretty darn useful

aqua-gloes are nice and i think they make my fish and water look better.
