Folks, this is just too funny. Yesterday I went to Petsmart (Friday is new fish day) in Tupelo, Mississippi and was looking at the large orandas that had just come in when I spied Elvis. Now where else would he reappear but in the town of his birth, Tupelo, Mississippi? He has been reincarnated as a Red-cap Oranda. Believe me, I wouldn't lie to you. This red- cap has a really nicely developed wen with a true pompadour and with what really sold me on the fish, a set of mutton chop side burns. Needless to say, going against all logic and reason, I bought him and dropped him in my pond. I can hardly believe that Elvis now lives in my garden. I stayed up all night listening for watery guitar music and a soggy version of "Love Me Tender." If all goes well and he survives and doesn't infect (I know I should have quarantined him) my other orandas with with some thing dreadful, I'll try to get a picture. Maybe by then I'll have my 100 posts so I can post a picture. Just in case you're beginning to worry about me naming my fish, I don't. The only other goldfish of my many that carries a name is a fan tail with the name Dot Com based on the black dot in the middle if its head. The fish came named and was a birthday present several years ago. Elvis lives!

Congratulations on your new fish, Milo, although I have to tell you, unless Petsmart sold a little guitar with that fish, you might be running out of luck of that fish being the true Elvis... or did he come with a lei?

Okay I wasn't sure about this one but after seeing a picture of Elvis I am sold. He is re incarnate and living in Milo's pond!
