i saw these crabs at my lfs but i can't seem to find any real info on them. do they go by another name? they have one very large claw that's a yellowish shade. does anyone keep these crabs? i've upgraded tanks and i have a 10 gallon that's empty now. is that big enough for them? any info would be great!

Those crabs are always being sold for aquariums but in reality its a terrible idea. They really need a half land, half water type of tank. They can drown in a full aquarium. Also they will catch and eat fish if they can. I really dont recommend putting them in an aquarium with fish.

Every time I see them at the pet store, they are eating fish...

i saw them in the pet store in with a nice rock set up with very little water. i wasn't planning on putting any fish with them. just crabs. i decided against them though, mainly because in the article i read that they are escape artists if anything is hanging down into the tank. as cool as i think they are, i really don't want a lost crab running sideways around my apartment.
