What could I pick? I am looking for a fish that hangs around at the bottom, maybe takes care a little bit of algae, does not like plants (and if I ever would catch him on my plants - wink.gif ), and shouldn't be getting too big. What would fit nicely in a planted tropicals tank with neon tetras, mollies, dwarf gouramis, swordtails, .....
Any suggestions? huh.gif

Ottos or corys, although ottos are more of an all over the tank kinda fish and they like to rest on plants but don't chew on them.
Kev
i agree with james, but maybe some sucking loaches, they are just like the ottos but grow a lil bigger smile.gif

My 2 clown plecos have never touched my plants, but are fantastic for algae!

biggrin.gif I have had or do have all the fish mentioned above, and they are all good selections. I'm kind of partial to corys the most, because they are the best personality wise-I love watching them-if you go with corys try to get at least 3-I don't know what size your tank is ,but corys love to be in groups!

wink.gif Andrea,my clown plecos are cool too! They stay very small-don't bother anyone. They do hide alot through the day,but mine have been great with my plants biggrin.gif They are too small to uproot them, and I've never caught one nibbling on a plant yet! I love them cause they're different looking.you have a pleco look without that giant pleco body!

Thanks, guys! I will have a look around at one very nice tropical store in the neighborhood tomorrow, which happens to be their day for new deliveries....! I let you know which one I get. I do have a little otto already in a 160 gl tank with my goldies, and I Know for sure you can't kill that guy. He is with me now for the 4. year, and survived being forgotten to take out while removing the gravel, and one 3 hour move to my new home a few months back. He is a trooper! happydance.gif
BTW, the planted tank in question is a 29 gl tank....smile.gif
