I was wondering, do you put gravel/Stones in ponds? <_<

i wouldn't put gravel in my pond it seems to be alot
of work and gets pretty dirty.Around the pond would be great...

Im getting loads of grey slates to go round my pond (so it builds up) i cant really explain it. There on show at the place im getting the pond from. Its look really nice.
