Well I removed my Pond Comets from my pond on Friday to place them in a 10 gallon tank to allow me to clean the pond..to my suprise I returned and noticed eggs on the sponge filter..its been about five days and 10-20 eggs have hatched and are swimming around..now my question is..what should I do to remove the unfertilized fungus growing eggs? And I also noticed a "sperm like" coating on the eggs I easily sucked this plus the extra poop created by the four pond comets away..Should I remove all the fry after they survive and start over? Becuase it seems the tank is littered with some scales, poop and quite a few unfertilized eggs <_<

get a turkey baster to suck the unfertilized eggs up and i would leave the fry for now. you can do a water change at one week old and you can scoop up the scales with the baster too. hope this helps. if you have any more questions feel free to ask away. smile.gif good luck with them and welcome to kokos!!!

Well wont be doing anything more stuff...came home today and found all my fry dead laying on the bottom of the tank..I dont understand how they could have died this morning around 7am they were still lively and swimming around this is about day 2 of their 3 day Egg Yolk feeding period...could the junk in the tank be the reason? Do you guys think it would be too much stress on my goldfish to remove them from the pond that they just returned to yesterday to attempt breeding again?
