Fishmerised

I haven't had any experience with rainbow minnows but I've had zebra's for over two years. I used to keep zebras with my goldfish and that was Ok and long as there were two or more zebras. They like to chase and wrestle, when I got down to only one zebra he started to chase and nip the goldfish.
Now I have two zebras and two white clouds in there own small tank. The zebras only chase each other and leave the white clouds alone.
So, in answer to your question I would say "yes". But get two zebras.
Fishmerised is right, danios are happiest in groups. They are schooling fish, so you should really have 6 or more, I'd say 3 as a minimum (you can mix the types, like zebra and pearl and leopard, they all get along). As long as you have enough of them, they leave other fish alone, and I'm sure they'll live peacefully with your minnows! Sometimes fish with long fins get picked on by danios, but most minnows have short fins, so I'm guessing rainbow minnows do too.
