Dear Members,

My adult goldfish are outdoors (in a stock tank) and I have been bringing in the eggs (that are attached to live plants) form outside and have put them in an aquarium. Several days ago they hatched and I now have 50 / 60 babies. They seem to be eating the liquid food and alge off the plants.

Question: Do/Should I add a light to the tank? Would the proper UVA/UVB light help the plants/alge and... as a result the frys?

Thanks for your help,

Clayton

ya, it promotes algae growth.. and algae reduce nitrate.. and algae produce oxygen.. and algae is their food source.. and light does have some effect on their growth.. such as color..

and u can see them clearer too.. and a little heat..
