Some of my goldfish have clear/white poop. I heard someone say that this is a sign of constinpation, and to feed peas. Is there also a different way?

I think this happens if the fish doesn't eat that much or it's pooping out bubbles. Hope this helps

Clear/white poop.....may be an indication of bacterial infection inside the goldfish. But if this is a rare thing.....like you you would only see it once or twice a month or so you have nothing to worry about. Its normal. It just happens.

My goldfish sometimes poo's clear or white poop....and no worry here it just matters if the goldfish poops...that way everyday...or every other day. The last time mine poopes that way was a month ago....And he is doing just fine.

So how may times does this happen to your goldies? It all depends how often it happens. To determine how severe the condition is....If there even is one.

I agree with you ali. I think that there's only something to worry about if it's constant.

My fish were pooping clear poo, I fed peas and their all fine now. so i think that it can be a sign of constipation. Theres been a topic like this before in discussion

Hmm...define clear poo? Sometimes (hope it's not a disease since it only happens sometimes) I get clear poo...like i think jelly texture. This usually happens for a bit, and then I get normal solid poo in t he same string...not sure if it makes sense (they could have been eating algea for all I know..). Other times I just get translucent poo - like the "sausage" casing of an otherwise would-be healthy poo...i.e. no-poo poo?

I have only seen a completely suspicious white thin poo once, that was bacterial related. Is someone able to post a pic or two of poo related to bacterial/internal infections? That will be really appreciated. At the moment I am only relying on descriptions, but have never really confirmed how a bad poo looks like.

Gross as it sounds a poo photo gallery with explinations would be dead helpful!
