Those black, rather slender fish that have something that looks like an elephants trunk on them! Ever seen one of those? They look so darn funny, especially when they are being fed! Are those special needs fish? huh.gif

In my fish book it says that they are longnosed elephant fish it also says their other names are peter's elephant-nose and elephantnose

Thye are nocturnal and emits electrical impulses
They are highly sensitive to water quality changes.
they need fine gravel
and only one per tank

I used to try to keep those fish years ago without any luck. Course the LFS never tells you if they have any special needs or not. Thanks for the info fishies12. I wonder why only one per tank? Aggressive tword one another?

They are really territoral and they will all gang up and kill the weakest ones

I guess such "friendly" creatures are not welcome in my tanks then...Too bd, they are very interesting fish!
