I totally drained and shop vac'd the lower end which was really gross with leaves. The coming weekend I will run the upper pond through a filter and into the lower pond and the shop vac the upper. I hope to have it up and cycling this weekend. I really need to get the Koi out into their portion since they are just getting way-yy too big. It took me approx. 4 hours to do the lower. I don't think it will take that long for the upper portion.

How big is your pond?

It is approx. 800 gallons a little more if you add in the bog side which doesn't have fish.
