Full Version: Any Particular Spring Procedure?

I was wondering, with the temperatures rising now, spring in the air, and the pond hobby starting to come back from the winter hybernation, if the experienced pond keepers have a particular regimen for spring? I figure, besides the thorough cleanup of the bottom of the pond, there must be something else to do as preventive measurement for the fish. After all, the parasites are awakening as well, and the fishes immune system is not working on 100%.
Any special treatments for spring?

Proform C maybe or Calcium Bentonite clay (which is also good for your pond plants). I've not used either, but plan on getting some. I've ordered some Calcium Bentonite Clay this weekend. Koizyme to make sure you don't have an aeromonis problem, get this in fast because now that the water is warming up aeromonis, if you have it, is kicking in.

(hey, I'm not a fry anymore!)

Calcium Bentonite clay is the clay usually sold under "koi clay", right? I have that one at home, as well as something called "Aqua-Zyme" from Angels Hatchery in HOmestead, Florida. Any PP treatment, or feeding with Medicated food for 2 weeks?
