Here's the dilemma:
I'm on a really low budget right now and I can't afford even the smallest bag of Pro Gold. I do have, however, half a can of Hikari Tubifex Worms, half a can of MarineLand Bio-Blend Pellets that are almost expired, and enough peas and grapes to last a while.
I've been noticing that the pellets are making my Gillian float and it's really bumming me out. I would love to switch to Pro-Gold from all the great reviews I've been reading but like I said, my budget isn't allowing me to do so.
I suppose my question is...Would a main diet of peas and grapes be of sufficient nutrition for my goldfish? I'm assuming treats of the Tubifex worms and maybe a little dash of pellets wouldn't hurt. What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

Peas are good, though you don't want that to be the *only* thing in the diet. Go light on fruits like the grapes as you don't want too much of their diet to be sugar.
Try to pick up some other veggies (zuchinni and such) at the grocery store if you can, those would be good as well.
I think a lot of people like the Hikari goldfish foods as well (I haven't personally used them yet)

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the offer to send me some food, that's very kind of you. I think I'll be okay, though. Thanks!

Lasterblast, how many goldies do you have? I just got a new pack of Pro-gold, if you want, I can send you 1/4 of it. No charge, just a little help from one fish lover to another....YOu can let me know at RAJ-Pecher@msn.com...YOu live in the US?
