I have done everything that it says to breed fish. One fish has some white spots on him and has been chasing a rounder fish but they've been doing this for like 4 days now! The male fish isn't chasing her all the time. He does it quite a bit though. I have given them water changes. Any advice on how to get them started would be lovely thanks!

have you tried increasing the temperature lots
and feeding your fish more food then usual
and then decrease the temp. by doing cool
water changes
its usually the temperature thats most important
dont give up sometimes they chase for a few days before
the female releases the eggs
also do you have planted area where the fish can lay her eggs?
