Bettas are pretty much carnivores, unlike goldfish who like a lot of veggies in their diets, but you could give them a tiny bit of raw fish or frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp.

My bettas are always stealing the bloodworms and tubiflex worms right off of the frogs when I feed them. I had one betta literally take a bloodworm that was sticking out of the poor frogs mouth and gobble it right up! rolleyes.gif

My lfs sells them frozen about 12 cubes in all between 3.49-4.00---Freeze dried runs any where from 3.99 and up depending on brand and size of can. I've tried a few different brands, and they eat them all,but Hakari's looks the best( course they cost higher) I think I got them on sale-nice sized can aroun 5 or 6 bucks? I've gotten to the point where I tend to always spend so much more than I planned that I kind of try to not notice!! rolleyes.gif
