I am getting a bubble wall, but there are seems to be all kinds of them.

There are different size of these bubble thats coming out from the bubble wall, I just wondering does the size of these bubble matters to goldfish?

Whats better: big bubble or little bubble?

Smaller bubbles do move the water better, but I personally think its all just looks if you have a good filtration for the goldfish.

good luck. I like smaller bubbles that way the fish can swim through them and have fun with them...my fish get scared when a big bubble comes out every now and then.

However, just so you know, i tried to put a bubble wall in my tank it wouldn't work. I even bought an exspensive air pump that was rated to support up to 5 or so airpumps and i still could never get the bubbles all the way through the long tube. So i have one just sitting here because i couldn't get it to work and thought having them in my ornaments was more important for the circulation of the water.

Good luck and keep me posted on what kind you do get. I still would love to have my air stone working in my ornament plus the bubble wall in the back. But even with the special pump i couldn't get it to work. Trust me, I tried tons of different ways and my boyfriend was so frustrated he tried and tried and finally we just stuck to the air stone.

I've got a plain well i guess its made out of some sandstone with a plastic casing. But anyways, it has 2 inlets, one of each end, and the bubbles always go all the way across, even with the lowest setting on my pump, and its only a dodgy 2 outlet thing thats like 5 years old.

Mine produces fine bubbles too, i like em smile.gif

I have an air curtain that produces tiny bubbles and I think they're quite attractive. B)

valkyrie, unless you have a filter that makes a lot of splasing, then you should get an air stone for your tank as well.

Phoenix, small bubble are nice to watch, but not too small, otherwise it won't make enough surface movement. Also, bubble walls tend make less bubbles over time, so every so often, take the bubble wall out of the water and give it a good shake to get the bubbles going again.

You can try to find an airstone type of bubble wall, i had a plastic one and had problems with the water going through it properly so i threw it out. I seen an airstone type in a petstore, they are more expensive but would be best you can get different shapes and different sizes. Round tubular types and triangle type that will be for the middle of the tank. At the time when i seen the one i wanted, of course, i didn't have money to buy it, sad.gif

Sometimes you need to soak them or just let them run for a few weeks to get them to produce bubbles all the way across. I have them in both my tanks and love them. The fish love to play in them too.

My fish goes CRAZY in the bubbles! mine produces tiny and fair sized bubbles.. she loves swimming through and splashing about.. she's a current girl too, she's always swimming up and around the filter, against the current!

I've seen many kinds of bubble walls. Some are just an elongated strip of airstone. Some are plastic tubes with small holes on the top. And there was this papery looking tube with no holes in it. I guess bubbles could pass through it surface...

Which one is better?

I have tried 2 different kind - one a long green tube - works well but hard to keep under the water. It comes with suction cups, but mine broke. I also have long blue weighted ones, they work well. Both of them you have to give them time to get going - a week or so.
