I love Hiraki products and I think you were given sound advice. My problem is, is that I have been feeding my Red/White Oranda Hiraki Oranda Mini Gold for several months now and about 2 weeks ago he developed swim bladder which may have been attributed to the floating pellets. I feed him every other day now and overall he's back to normal and active but I've switched to flake and he kust sort of looks at it as it sinks to the bottom of the aquarium. I've also pre-soaked pellets and it's the same thing, it's as if he doesn't realize that that's hiw dinner sinking right past in front of his little nose!

Any ideas?

I don't think it's healthy to only feed your goldfish once every two days. My goldfish had swim bladder as well. I starved him for 3 days and then fed him skinned peas for three days. After that I started feeding him food again that was soaked. Remember to only feed as much as the goldies can eat in two minutes. So to answer your question. Well your goldie of course is used to eating the food up top so yes it will take a while to teach your goldie where the food is now but he'll learn.
